478 Breath Privacy Policy
478 Breath ("the app") takes your privacy seriously. Our design principle is simple: your data is yours and stays on your device. This policy explains how the app handles your information.
Health data we read
With your explicit authorization, the app reads the following from Apple Health (HealthKit) to guide training and show results:
- Heart-rate variability (HRV)
- Resting respiratory rate (to set the animation's rhythm)
This data is used only for in-app computation and display, and never leaves your device.
Data we write
Only when you tap "Save" after a session does the app write that session to Apple Health as a Mindfulness session, to keep it in step with your overall health record; if you choose not to save, nothing is written. You can revoke this permission anytime in the system Health app. Mindful sessions already saved to Apple Health are your health data — they remain in the Health app after you uninstall this app, and you can view or delete them there at any time.
Local storage
Session records and statistics are stored locally via SwiftData and shared with the home-screen widget through an App Group to display status. Deleting the app removes this data.
Notifications
If you enable HRV reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device. They are generated entirely on-device, pass through no external server, and send no information to us or any third party.
Subscriptions & payments
The app offers an optional Premium auto-renewable subscription (monthly / annual). Purchases and payments are handled entirely by Apple's App Store; the app never collects, stores or touches any of your payment information. Your subscription status lives only on your device and in your Apple account, and you can manage or cancel it anytime in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions.
What we don't do
- We do not collect, upload or sell any of your health or personal data.
- We have no account system and require no registration or sign-in.
- We integrate no third-party advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs.
- We transmit no data to our servers or any third party's.
- We never use your health data for advertising, marketing or data mining.
Children's privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal information.
Your rights
You can review or revoke the app's health permissions anytime under Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices; deleting the app clears all local data.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date at the top.
