Wattest Privacy Policy
Wattest ("the app") respects and protects your privacy. Our principle is simple: your training data is yours and stays on your device.
Use of Bluetooth
The app uses Bluetooth to connect to your smart trainer (FTMS) and an optional heart-rate strap, to read live power, cadence and heart rate and to control trainer resistance. Bluetooth is used only to communicate with these devices — never for location and never to identify you.
Health and heart-rate data
If you use an Apple Watch, the app receives live heart rate from it during a workout to display and record that session. This data travels only between your device and your watch.
Local storage
FTP test results, training plans and session records are stored locally via SwiftData. Deleting the app removes this data.
What we don't do
- We do not collect, upload or sell any of your training or personal data.
- We have no account system and require no registration or sign-in.
- We integrate no third-party advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs.
- We transmit no data to our servers or any third party's.
Children's privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal information.
Your rights
You can manage the app's Bluetooth and other permissions anytime in system Settings; deleting the app clears all local data.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date at the top.
